Terms of Service

Effective date: [OWNER: the day this goes live]

These terms are an agreement between you and Haim Schlesinger, trading as Schlesinger Consulting ("we", "us"). They cover SC Workspace (the app on your computer, its web app and the ws command line), our portal at portal.schlesinger.consulting, and our website (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. You must be at least 13 to use it, or 16 in the European Union. If you use it for a company, you confirm you're allowed to agree for that company.

Consulting work is covered by its own written agreement.

What the service is

SC Workspace lets you work with AI workers on your own computer. Workers run on your own AI account (Claude or ChatGPT). You can connect other accounts, such as Google, so the app can show your calendar or import your contacts. The portal holds your sign-in and your company's members. Our Privacy Policy says what we collect and where it goes.

Your account

  • Keep your sign-in safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account and on your devices, including command-line keys you create.
  • Give us accurate details.
  • Owners and admins of your company can invite and remove members and change company settings.

Your AI account

  • You need your own account with an AI company, such as Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI (ChatGPT). Your use of it is governed by your agreement with them, including their limits, fees and data terms.
  • We don't supply, resell or run the AI model.
  • When a worker answers, what it sends goes from your computer to your AI account, not through us.

Connected accounts

  • SC Workspace uses a connected account only for the features you turn on.
  • Google access is read-only today: the app can't change, send or delete anything in your Google account.
  • Bank connections in Finance are read-only and made through Plaid: the app can't move money or change anything at your bank. Plaid's own terms also apply.
  • You can disconnect any account at any time.
  • Your use of Google and other connected services is also covered by their own terms.

Your content

  • What you make in SC Workspace stays yours: messages, notes, files, meetings and what workers produce for you.
  • Most of it stays on your computer. For the little that reaches our portal (your account and company details, and product data while it's on), you give us only the rights we need to run the service for you.
  • We don't use your content to train AI models.

Product data

Once we switch it on, SC Workspace sends us daily counts of how it's used and what your setup is made of, never your content. The Privacy Policy, "Product data from the app", lists exactly what's in it. We use it only to run, fix and improve the service. An owner or admin of your company can turn it off at any time in Settings.

AI output

Workers can be wrong or incomplete. Check their work before you rely on it, and before you approve anything that sends, saves or changes something. You're responsible for how you use what they produce.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to:

  • break the law or anyone's rights;
  • break the terms of your AI company or of a connected service, including Google's;
  • get into accounts or data you aren't allowed to;
  • send spam or malware, or attack or overload our systems;
  • copy, resell or take apart the service, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or puts others at risk. We'll tell you when we reasonably can.

The free app

SC Workspace is free to use with your own AI account. What the free version includes may change. If we take away something it includes, we'll tell account owners first.

Paid plans and add-ons

  • Paid plans and add-ons are billed monthly through Stripe. You see the price before you pay.
  • Cancel anytime. What you've paid for keeps working until the end of that month, then stops. We don't charge you again.
  • No refunds for part of a month, unless we made a mistake, such as charging you twice or charging for something that didn't work. Then we refund it.
  • Changing plan takes effect at once. You pay the difference for the rest of the month.
  • Stripe's own terms also apply to your payment.

Ending the agreement

  • You can stop using the service at any time, delete your account, or ask us to delete your company (see the Privacy Policy, "Deleting your data").
  • We may end this agreement if you seriously break it.
  • The parts about your content, warranties, liability and governing law still apply after it ends.

Changes

  • We may change or remove features. For the free app and paid plans, we tell account owners first when it matters.
  • We'll post changes to these terms here with a new effective date, and tell account owners first by email or in the app when a change matters.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, as far as the law allows. That includes any warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose, that it will work without interruption or errors, or that it won't infringe anyone's rights. We don't promise it will always work or suit your needs.

Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or business interruption, even if we were told they might happen. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, and you and we agree to those courts.
